DAY 1 ARRIVAL ENTEBBE:
We shall personally meet you upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnigt at The Boma Hotel or Protea Hotel.
DAY 2 TRANSFER TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK:
Following breakfast, you will be transfered to Kidepo valley National Park. Isolated from the Ugandan mainstream by the harsh plains to the north of Mount Elgon. Kidepo is one of Africa’s last great wilderness areas, a tract of rugged savannah dominated by Mount Morungole and ransected by the Kidepo and Narus Rivers. Perennial running water in the Narus River makes Kidepo an oasis in the semi desert. This afternoon you can either take a game drive around the lodge area or perhaps recover from a long drive with a refreshing dip in stunning swimming pool. Carved out of a granite kopje the pool affords fantastic views down the Narus valley and over a waterhole frequented by many animals including Bullbull – our friendly elephant and unofficial head gardener! Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge (Full Board).
DAY 3 KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK:
After an early breakfast, go for morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon have a cultural experience that will bring into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenga and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge (Full Board).
DAY 4 KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK:
After breakfast, we will visit the abandoned Katurum Lodge. Built by Idi Amin, this impressive structure is worth a visit for the views alone.visit the bird hide and enjoy a guided nature walk, look out for Fox Kestrel, Eastern Chanting Goshawk, Grasshopper Buzzard, Montague’s Harrier, Fan Tailed Raven and the very rare Stone Partridge. Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge (Full Board).
DAY 5 TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK:
Get up very early in the morning and drive to Murchison Falls National Park. If arrive early, a taste of evening game drive for at least one hour is a lifetime experience as you may encounter animals taking cover to avoid spots where lions are common. overnight at Paraa Safari lodge, Bakers Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge or Chobe safari Lodge.
DAY 6 MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK:
An early breakfast ready for a game drive along Nile Delta to spot huge populations of elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion, leopard, waterbuck, and a variety of antelopes. Drive to Pakwach town as well and see one of the oldest bridges in the country. After lunch, a boat trip to the Top of Murchison Falls is extraordinary where you will see the Nile from the bottom angle. You will see huge crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks and water birds can be seen around. Tour the top of the falls where you will meet your awaiting car to take you back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Bakers Lodge or Chobe safari Lodge.
DAY 7 MURCHISON-KIBALE:
An early start by road for Kibale National Park via Albertine escarpment. Visit the top of Murchison falls before you embark on a drive along the rift valley scenery and section of Lake Albert throughout the journey on a good murrum road. The distance is long taking about 8-9 hours. Overnight at Primate Lodge or Kyaninga Lodge.
DAY 8 KIBALE-SEMLIKI:
Early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. In the afternoon, drive to the Congo border right under the Rwenzori Mountains, into the Semuliki National Park jungles, few tourists get into this incredibly beautiful area! . The new Semuliki National Park is lowland, dense forest, with exotic primates, hundreds of bird species and good mammals as well. Its location on the shore of Lake Albert provides excellent shoreline game viewing. Meals and accommodations at the luxurious Semuliki Safari Lodge.
DAY 9 SEMULIKI/QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK:
This morning we go for a morning nature walk to the hot springs and visit the Batwa people who live in the forest. Thereafter drive south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing enroute. Meals and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Ishasha Wilderness Camp, Kyambura Gorge Lodge or Parkview safari lodge.
DAY 10 QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK:
Dawn game drive in Uganda‘s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rare animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes Albert and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Meals and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Ishasha Wilderness Camp, Jacana lodge, Kyambura Gorge Lodge or Parkview safari lodge.
DAY 11 QUEEN-BWINDI:
Morning game drives to spot African lions and other game in Ishasah sector. Continue on to Bwindi via Ishasha road. This route is famous for the rare tree-climbing lions. Evening foot safari to interact with the local people. The animals you may see are: black and white colobus monkeys, some duikers and gorillas if near. Dinner and overnight at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Ichumbi gorilla lodge, Buhoma Lodge, Rushaga gorilla camp or Silverback lodge.
DAY 12 BWINDI GORILLA TREKKING:
Early morning entries into gorilla sanctuary after a briefing from UWA park authorities. Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. You may see the gorillas eating, sucking ants from a tree, swinging on vines, playing and sleeping. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. It is most rewarding animal-based experience that clients get and others would definitely do it again if given the opportunity. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort. There is always an option to hire a local porter (highly recommended as it supports the local economy) who will carry your bag and literally, push you up the hills if necessary! Dinner and overnight at Clouds Mountain Gorilla lodge, Ichumbi gorilla lodge, Buhoma Lodge, Rushaga gorilla camp or Silverback lodge.
DAY 13 BWINDI- JINJA SOURCE OF RIVER NILE:
Drive to Jinja, an evening excursion of the source of River Nile and famous Bujagali falls is possible if arrive early. Overnigt at Jinja Nile Resort, Lamela Lodge or The Haven Lodge.
DAY 14 SOURCE OF RIVER NILE:
After breakfast, relax and embark for midday Nile cruise enjoy a selection of snacks while cruising around the first few kilometres of the Nile searching along the shores and small islands for birds, otters and Nile Monitor lizards and enjoy evening 3 hour Nile sunset cruise, keep rolling as the sun sets on the majestic Nile River. Overnigt at Jinja Nile Resort, Lamela Lodge or The Haven Lodge.
DAY 15 TRANSFER TO ENTEBBE:
After breakfast, transfer to the Airport via Kampala for your flight back home. (Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch)
