What to Expect

Hippos, water falls, giraffes, Zebras, gazelles, Elephants, Buffaloes, leopards, Lions, Waterbuck, Uganda Kobs, warthog, crocodiles, exotic birds, Equator crossing for photography, valleys, hilltops, long horned Ankole Cattle, papyrus swamps, etc.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Entebbe

You will be personally met by our company representative upon arrival at Entebbe airport who happens to be your guide for the trip, and transfers you to your Hotel (Approximately 10-15 minutes’ drive).

Overnight at Airport Guest House Entebbe (B&B)

Day 2

Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

Our guide/driver picks you at 7:00 am from Airport Guest House and transfer to Murchison falls national park. You have stop at Nakitoma where you will do Rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino sentuary thereafter proceed to Murchison Falls national park. You will visit the top of waterfalls in the afternoon.

(Approximately 5-6 hours’ drive).

Meals and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, or Ikorom Safari Lodge (FB).

Day 3

Game Drive and Boat trip in Murchison Falls N.P

After Breakfast you will do dawn morning game drive search for “Big Five” (Buffaloes, Hippos, and leopards) other animals you will see include Rothschild Giraffes, Bushbucks, warthogs, waterbucks and variety of Antelopes. Return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, embark for 3 hours’ afternoon boat safari to the bottom of Falls, this cruise allows you to see large hippo pods, crocodiles and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. You will have the opportunity to take thousands of pictures.

Meals and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge, Pakuba Safari Lodge, or Ikorom Safari Lodge (FB).

Day 4

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning drive to the south into Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth N.P is located in southwestern Uganda and it is the second largest park in the country after Murchison falls national park and located at the base of majestic Rwenzori Mountains, next to Lake Edward and lake George which are joined by the Kazinga Channel. This park has 5000 hippos, 2500 Elephants and over 10,000 Buffaloes thriving in its grassland (Approximately 8-9 hours’ drive).

Meals and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge (FB).

Day 5

Game Drive and Boat trip in Queen Elizabeth N.P

After Breakfast you will do dawn morning game drive. The morning is the best time for game drive as the African Animal kingdom tends to be most active during the golden hours of first sunlight touching the Savanah. You will see Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Waterbuck, Leopards, Uganda Kobs, warthog, Birds and primates. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, here you will see large numbers of hippos more than you can possibly imagine as well as a variety of other animals which come to waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see buffaloes, crocodiles, bathing Elephants and a range of beautiful birds.

Meals and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge (FB).

Day 6

Transfer to Lake Mburo

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Mburo NP via Mbarara. You will enjoy evening boat ride in.

Lake Mburo amidst Hippos. Other animals like Crocodiles herons, African King Fisher, Fish Eagles, Pelicans, and Crested Cranes including local fishermen and fishing villages may be seen. (Approximately 3-4 hours’ drive).

Dinner and overnight at Kigambira Safari Lodge, Arcadia Cottages or Eagle Nest Camp

Day 7

Game Drive and Foot Safari in Lake Mburo

After Breakfast you will do dawn morning game drive morning is the best time for game drive as the African Animal kingdom tends to be most active during the golden hours of first sunlight touching the Savanah. You will go for walking safari in the afternoon where you will get closer to animals by foot, such as zebras, giraffes, impalas etc . You will do take boat ride in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Kigambira Safari Lodge, Arcadia Cottages or Eagle Nest Camp

Day 8

Return to Kampala in the morning, lunch break is made at Igongo Cultural center with stop over at Equator Uganda crossing and Mpambire drum makers for a brief photo opportunity and to shop souvenirs. Transfer to Entebbe for the evening flight back home (Approximately 3-4 hours’ drive). (Meal plan Breakfast and Lunch)
